Description
The design of the Vaavud Mjolnir is inspired by professional cup anemometers, but with 2 cups instead of 3 cups. This makes the device pocket friendly and super rugged.
The Mjolnir wind meter uses the magnetic field sensor in the phone. Thus, it contains no electronics.
Measuring wind speeds from 2 to 20m/s with precision of +/-4%, the device comes with a handy neoprene bag which goes whereever you go. Using the VAAVUD App on both android and iOS devices, the following information is measured:
• Current, average and maximum wind speed
• Real time speed graph. (For wind direction measurement, please consider the other model, Sleipnir)
• Unit of measure (m/s, km/h, knots, mph, Bft)
• Live map with information of other measurements by other users
• History tab, accessible across all devices
• Share wind readings to facebook
